Crow Lake by Mary Lawson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I’m late to the party on this one, which was first published in 2002, but I’m glad that I finally discovered it. One of the most beautifully written books I’ve ever read, the language is so precise, yet poetic, the relationships between narrator Kate, and her siblings, Bo, Matt, and Luke, so deeply drawn. Captivating, heartbreaking, hopeful, insightful, tragic…all of the above and more. A must read.

I read this book when it first came out, and just loved it. Also enjoyed her next one, Across the Bridge.
