The Alice Network by Kate Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Simply outstanding. Kate Quinn’s historical research is to be commended (thank you, Ms. Quinn, for your author notes and PS at the end of the book; as someone who knows how much time and effort goes into researching a book, your efforts are above and beyond). Taking that research and incorporating real people and real history into a semi-fictionalized story of two women and the men in their lives is no small feat, and in doing so, Quinn has created a page turning experience not to be missed. Truly one of the best books I have read this year.

Thank you for the tip. I have written that down to order. And yes, I know. I thought, ‘Not another WWII book,’ but there you go.
Just when you think you cannot read another WWII book, you receive 4 recommendations fir the same book. That is what happened to me about THE ALICE NETWORK. I totally agree with your review. After I read and recommended Kate Quinn’s excellently researched thriller, I read Cara Black’s THREE HOURS IN PARIS! You won’t be sorry you picked up this fast-paced novel.
