Whoot! I love posting books by other authors, but I have to admit it’s exciting to post one of my own on New Release Mondays.
Author Name: Judy Penz Sheluk
Book Title: A Hole in One: A Marketville Mystery #2
Book Genre: Cozy Mystery
Release Date: November 8, 2018
Publisher: ACX
Synopsis: Hoping to promote the Glass Dolphin antiques shop, co-owners Arabella Carpenter and Emily Garland agree to sponsor a hole in one contest at a charity golf tournament. The publicity turns out to be anything but positive, however, when Arabella’s errant tee shot lands in the woods next to a corpse.
They soon learn that the victim is closely related to Arabella’s ex-husband, who had been acting as the Course Marshal. With means, opportunity, and more than enough motive, he soon becomes the police department’s prime suspect, leaving Arabella and Emily determined to clear his name—even if they’re not entirely convinced of his innocence.
Dogged by incriminating online posts from an anonymous blogger, they track down leads from Emily’s ex-fiancé (and the woman he left Emily for), an Elvis impersonator, and a retired antiques mall vendor with a secret of her own.
All trails lead to a mysterious cult that may have something to do with the murder. Can Arabella and Emily identify the killer before the murderer comes after them?
Listen to an audio sample by narrator Kelli Lindsay.
Congratulation on your audiobook version. I couldn’t survive without audiobooks. They keep me sane when I drive and less inclined to experience road rage. The popularity of audiobooks is growing exponentially. My two daughters, who don’t always have time to read, will listen to audiobooks.
Thanks Grace. Good to know there is a market out there!
Congratulations! This is wonderful.
Thanks Micki! You should look into it for your Mer Cavallo series!
We are both early birds, morning people. Every time I read your synopsis of A Hole In One I think of another friend who will love your mystery! Thanks for sharing good news again. With your successful year, I hope you will be attending more US conferences! Would I’ve to see you at Sleuthfest and Malice Domestic!
Hi Beth, thank you for your kind comments! I would love to attend Sleuthfest and Malice, but in 2019 I’m going to Left Coast Crime in Vancouver, BC. I’ve never been to BC and it will be an expensive trip for me as I want to do a few side trips — staying a full week. Unless I win the Dorothy Cannell (unlikely) Malice is out, though I truly love that conference. Sleuthfest is the week before LCC and on top of that, held during March break so flights will cost the earth from Toronto (no flights will be available on points). I’ve often thought, though, that it would be a fun one to go to.
