I continue to look for other ways to support my fellow authors, especially during these difficult times. Let’s face it, if you’ve lost your job, buying a book may not be top of your list. But authors also need to buy groceries, pay the rent, mortgage, hydro etc. But what can I do that didn’t cost me anything but my time?
The idea came to me when reading a blog from a fellow author that really resonated with me. As an author, I subscribe to a lot of blogs, and I’ll be honest, I don’t always read every post that comes into my inbox, any more than you do, I daresay. But every now and again, a title will capture my interest.
Starting May 5th, I’ll be re-posting random blog posts that I found interesting, and I hope you do as well. If nothing else, you’ll be introduced to other authors, and I encourage you to look for their books at your favorite book store or library. Let’s support each other in any way we can.
Great idea, Judy. I hope you will consider Ruff Drafts and Sneaky the Library Cat’s blog. I look forward to learning about other blogs that you feature. Thanks so much.
One of the writers in my critique group was told that her sales have doubled since the start of the pandemic! So people are buying books and reading. Encouraging news for struggling authors.
A great way to introduce new authors to potential readers!
Terrific idea Judy.
Hope you and your are keep safe and healthy.
I have so few followers and many bloggers feel the same…I applaud you, Judy, for sharing the best!
