On Thursday, May 23, I was elected to the position of Vice Chair of Crime Writers of Canada. The term runs from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020, after which time I will assume the role of Chair. The Board is entirely by volunteers, each of us trying to give back, pay forward, and make a difference to the Canadian crime writing landscape.

For me, it’s such an incredible honor. I first joined CWC in 2012 as an aspiring author. In 2015, I became a PAM (Professional Author Member), with two published short stories and the release of my debut mystery, The Hanged Man’s Noose. In 2017, I joined the Board as a Regional Representative for Toronto/Southwestern Ontario, and in 2018-2019, I served as a Director for the region.

Crime Writers of Canada is a wonderful non-profit organization that supports all facets and sub genres of crime writing in Canada. To learn more about it, click here.
