Congratulations, Jodi. What a sense of accomplishment it must be publishing your first book. Wishing you lots of success with it.
Thanks Grace! I am happy to have this one finished. I was asked to write for a Valentine’s Day anthology with Summer Prescott and 12 other indie authors. That one is due by Christmas and my draft for book two is due to my editor by 2/1/199 , then revising it while working on book three draft to editor by 4/1/19. I haven’t much time to celebrate, but being a full-time writer is a celebration in itself to me!☺
Thanks for popping by Grace!
Congratulations, Jodi! I love this series concept. Looking forward to the new book!
Thanks so much, Ellen! It was really fun creating the village and the characters! My grandma gave me her 70-year-old cast iron skillet for Christmas in 2017 and that is what inspired the series. She has only ever made pineapple upside down cake in that old skillet. That is where book one came from. My grandma came over last Wednesday and we made pineapple upside down cake in that skillet to celebrate the release of the book. It was so great!
Thanks for stopping by Ellen, and Jodi, that is a cool story about your grandma!
Thanks, Judy! My Grandma Opal character is loosely based off my real Grandma Evelyn! LOL. All of my protagonist’s flaws come from my actual flaws. Unfortunately, all of her successes do NOT come from me. HA! Ava, the best friend, is a combination of all my friends. Writing what I know!
Thanks for having me, Judy! Have a great day!
